Plazes reDesign (beta)
[Centopeia] For those who might not know plazes yet, Plazes is a geo-reference serviced based on ip, meaning that you don’t need to have a gps for pin-pointing your location on the web, you can just trust on the connection points that you hang to (to be more precise, it uses the mac-address of the router you’re connected to, to save your location at plazes). 18 Messidor CCXIV
[HomePage from Evan Prodromou] Yesterday, I had lunch with Marc Laporte, a Montreal Open Source developer and project lead for Tiki CMS/Groupware. Marc sent me email a week or so ago -- he saw on GeoURL that we lived right across Parc La Fontaine from each other, and since we had such similar interests it made sense to meet up.

How to geotag and map the work of the prophetic lyricist poet graffiti artist of Amsterdam
[Eco-Geek] Anyone who lives in Amsterdam has seen his work. “Nimrod Built Babel” “A woman should bloom” “Naked and pure is the spirit that transcends the existence mediocre” “They want you dead, or in their lie.” Each of his pseudo-biblicalisms scrawled above that inimitable tag that may have something to do with Pi.

[Van Dev Blog] Dan offers a free download of a bz2’ed version (~300mb) of the compiled address location data (by the way, the README on his site is good reading material). Dans program does more than I needed it to, so I simplified his source code (Thanks Dan) to do simply what needs to be down.
