Validating against the OGC KML Schema in jEdit « Random Nodes

Getting on GeoURL [Patrick Nelson]

I’m not saying that our government shouldn’t invest in GIS, I’m just wondering why we’re talking about making the investment right now.

[All Points Blog] Going mainstream means pricing in the $245 to $500 a seat range for the full market basket of capabilities (ArcGIS Server, SDE, IMS, ArcObjects, etc., etc) which ESRI sells in the $20K to $30K range. That's the simple economics of why mainstream, modern GIS companies outsell ESRI about 100 to 1 on a unit volume basis in mainstream Windows markets.
