[hacks.mozilla.org] Firefox 3.5 represents the first step in support for Geolocation and a large number of other standards that are starting to make their way out of the various working groups. We know that people will love this feature for mapping applications, photo sites and sites like twitter and facebook.

[Laptop GPS World] In addition, if one finds that the track as produced and displayed in RouteConverter is out of place, as I've found re the Panama Canal [some of the positions are next to the lock instead of in the lock, for example] the position can be corrected using Google Earth with the SAME track and RouteConverter, and WordPad if there are a lot of similar points, where find and replace is effective. You can locate the CORRECT point in Google Earth by zooming in and finding the incorrect location, reading its value to confirm the value showing for that point in RouteConverter, then move the mouse pointer to the correct location, and, using the latitude or longitude values for the correct point, change the incorrect latitude or longitude values for that same point in the RouteConverter record for that particuar point in the file.

Ogle Earth: Reverse geocode in iPhoto '09 using AppleScript

[Ogle Earth] I've cooked up a couple of scripts you can try out using iPhoto and Google Earth. All you have to do is select a photo that has a location associated with it, be it a GPS related date or one you have chosen from within iPhoto, then run the script.

KML Geology: Geology Map of the San Diego 30' x 60' Quadrangle

[KML Geology] The Rose Canyon Fault Zone displaces Holocene sediment in Rose Canyon 7 km north of San Diego Bay where a late Pleistocene slip rate of 1-2 mm/yr has been estimated (Lindvall and Rockwell, 1995). A study of the recency and character of faulting in the greater San Diego metropolitan area suggests a long-term Tertiary slip rate for the Rose Canyon Fault Zone of about 1-2 mm/yr (Kennedy and others, 1975).
