Ogle Earth: Google Earth is good for you.: One difference is that the PC saves a KML file with a <Folder> element at its root, whereas the Mac uses <Document>, into which it places a <Folder>. But more importantly for debugging the calculator, the Mac version also saves <visibility> and <open> for each placemark, so that later, the folder's state is preserved when the KML is uploaded back into Google Earth. Hillside Meditations: Apart from giving me a chance of always knowing where my towel is - I haven´t yet found something on flagging down saucers in the manual, though - I became convinced of definitely needing to have such a thing by this Makezine article on geotagging your digital photos (another tutorial on a more automated approach to geotagging the exif-files of your snaps is here) . Flickr has a special “Geotagged” (via Cosmos)

MAKE: Blog: If you happen to need wireless and will be on I-5 for the next 13 hours, let me know - the network will be up and running the whole time :-] Here is the Flickr photo set if you want to tune in...Link. I would geo tag them, but you can't use them with google maps/earth for now... I'm sure any day now Flickr is going to do geotagging with Yahoo maps since they have the super talented Dan from Geobloggers... (via Cosmos)

Seattlest: -Way up there in Washington North someone was scouting the path of the approaching Iditarod on a snowmobile when he was killed by an avalanche which completely sucks. Man, that's a badass race, though. (via Cosmos)
[Geobloggers.blogspot.com] geobloggers: The reason why geobloggers has been down is kinda connected to the Yahoo! move for various reasons, but of course I couldn't say anything, so sorry about the rather vague "errr, it's just taking a rest" message and non-committal emails anyone may have gotten, hope you understand.

[Makezine.com] MAKE: Blog: HOW TO GPS Tag Photos: Flickr, Mappr, Google Earth....: There's a new integration of flickr and google maps that can simplify the process of locating position in Google Maps, tagging photos and posting to Geobloggers. A map is embedded into flickr for users to see where the photos were taken without leaving flickr.

[Txfx.net] Flickr + Google Maps = Geobloggers [ Tempus Fugit | TxFx.net ]: your Flickr photos with the latitude and longitude where the photo was taken, and the photo will be displayed as a push pin on a Flickr/Google Maps combo. The icing on the cake is the awesome Greasemonkey script(s) that make it really simple to add these latitude and longitude tags to your photos.
