Geotags.org > Geobloggers : Flickr + Google Maps Remix

http://falsepositives.blogspot.com [False Positives] Lazyweb request:I wonder how hard it would be to whip up a script to show any Geobloggers (GeoFLickr/GmapFlickr/?) images for my current Google map? You would need to figure out the longitude and latitude of the current map then ask GeoBloger or FLickr and Map the results.

http://hifiblog.com  HiFi Blog: FoxiPod: neat Greasemonkey hack which I’ve discovered recently (OSX only, though). Once installed a little icon is placed next to any MP3 file on a webpage; (via Cosmos)

Pink Sockshttp://pinksocks.co.uk  Pink Socks: Despite the obvious advantages to using Adium over iChat (tabs and multi-networkness), I just can’t tear myself away from iChat. Even though I could if I spent enough time on it add a few skins and so on to make Adium look exactly like iChat. (via Cosmos)

[Ogle Earth] Panoramio supports Google Earth: Panoramio is a very simple way of just placing your pictures on the map, so that you can show them to people in their proper geographic context. I asked one of the developers, Joaquin, if they were planning to output their database as a network link, much like geobloggers does with their Flickr network link.

http://geobloggers.blogspot.com [Geobloggers.blogspot.com] geobloggers: If you take geobloggers as an example, you can use the API to download user submitted photos, notes and audio from around a location with no adverts and in the future this will extend to tour and guides. I can see how other companies could take a (good I think) business model of offering guides with a couple of adverts or premium paid-for content thrown in.

http://steeev.f2o.org [Steeev.f2o.org] EXCELLATRONIC COMMUNICATIONS: Geotagging Flickr with Google Maps ...: @Mark J: Yes this would be doable, though the "geotagged" link serves a purpose, not everyone uses GreaseMonkey, in fact im sure its a very small percentage of the Flickr userbase. The geotagged link connects the flickr image back to geobloggers.com, and shows the flickr user whereabouts on the map the image was taken, and also other images that were taken in the same vicinity.

Blog.flickr.com[Blog.flickr.com] FlickrBlog: A guy called revdancatt wrote a cool new website called GeoBlogging that lets you "geotag" your flickr photos, geotagging means adding longitude and latitude coordinates to the tags for the image. Then his website pulls in the images and overlays...
