GeoLocation tips, quirks and possible bugs (flash.sensors ...
[Gregs Ramblings] If it is indeed not being reported by the underlying OS, I think it is a bug in flash.sensors.Geolocation because the expected behavior is to report either a NaN or some other obvious invalid value rather than a value that is wrong and misleading. UPDATE: On Android, the underlying OS returns “radialAccuracy”

Geolocation SEO question - Webmaster Forum
[Webmaster Forum] The Question: A possibility we taught of is to target the content using Geolocation so that users from Romania will see the Romanian content and those outside Romania would see the english content, but we are not sure how google crawler would see it. Would it be possible for this to fix our problem without loosing on SEO?

IP Geolocation | drupal.org
[drupal.org - Modules] This means that IP Geolocation is still waiting for details to arrive from the Google reverse-geocoding AJAX call. In a subsequent call $location['ip_address'] will not be empty, meaning that IP Geolocation does not expect any further details to come in and will store the $location with your modifications on the IP Geolocation database.

[Friendly Bit - Web Development Blog] Google can do this because they’ve been driving around with their street view cars all over the world, and measured signal strength of WiFi networks (public and private) at each specific location. Now they can use that information, combined with your local signal strength conditions, to triangulate their way to where you are.

Finding your position with Geolocation | HTML5 Doctor
[HTML5 Doctor] The specification explicitly states that since the nature of the API also exposes the user’s location and therefore could compromise their privacy, the user’s permission to attempt to obtain the geolocation information must be sought before proceeding. The browser will take care of this, and a message will either appear as a popup box, or at the top of the browser (implementation is browser specific) requesting the user’s permission.
