[blog.mattiasnorell.com] Our first aproach was the static map API but they only, for none premium users, allow maps less than 640 times 640 pixles so that was a dead end. We then tried the iFrame but that, for some reason, made the page stutter at page load so we decided to write our own implementation.

Nokia launches Ovi Maps 3D beta, Google Earth no longer special ...
[2dayBlog] Anyway, Nokia had help from Navteq’s maps and some software wizardry magic. It’s now able to display cities in a new 3D view that you’re able to zoom in and around to your heart’s content, the same cool thing that you can do over at Google’s.

GeoURL Yahoo! Mapping
[Premshree's (å“速力) Personal Weblog] Maps hack that maps sites close to a given URL using GeoURL data. I think I remember seeing something like this on some site, but the mapping there was for the owner's site only, AFAIK.

[ruk.ca - peter rukavina blogs] file is somewhat more complicated by the fact that Google Maps needs latitude and longitudes expressed as positive (N and W) and negative (S and E) numbers while Plazes’ traces file uses positive numbers with N, S, E and W appended as appropriate.

GIS News:Avineon completes two-year GIS data conversion project
[GISDevelopment News] Avineon partnered with GIS Solutions, Inc., EKI, and Scarfe Consulting on the two-year effort to establish a complete, functional GIS system for the citywide water distribution system, accessible by city personnel. The GIS system now contains current and accurate water distribution system data converted from map and data sources such as atlas maps in paper and electronic formats, more than 23,000 service plat maps, and break and leak data in hand-written formats.

Custom Google Maps Geocode Powershell CmdLet
