[Spatially Adjusted] "This is an ArcMap extension designed to aid in creating KML format files for use in Google Earth. I tried to create the simplest program that would do the job, so there is not much in the way of error checking or fancy features.

[MikeJuvrud] ArcMap to Google Earth KML - Extensions: Here are a couple of extensions for ArcMap that will allow you to convert your ArcGIS layers to Google Earth KML files. I'm sure there are more - if you have any recommendations, please post them in the comments.
[Spatially Adjusted] ArcMap Feature Layer to KML: ArcObjects VBA code to take a feature layer, split it up into line segments, and then generate a valid KML file. It's pretty basic, and you have to hard code some values, but it does the job.
[Connotea.org] Connotea: Declan's bookmarks matching tag kml: I've been having far too much fun with Google Earth (yes, even despite the lack of a Mac version), and I thought I'd jot down a couple of notes on how to roll your own KML files with a few snippets of PHP."
[Ogleearth.com] Ogle Earth: Authoring tools for Google Earth?: The "KML Home Companion" written by Jim Cser http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=14256 seems to be the best written so far and already embodies many of the components (except re-projection) A2E will in the future.
[Spatiallyadjusted.com] Spatially Adjusted: Google Earth Archives: Some have said that ArcGIS is the world's largest software application built with Microsoft's COM and while that may or may not be true, the plain fact is that ArcGIS has so many tools at the ready and these tools have decades of development behind them, that Google/Microsoft would be very hard pressed to compete. Now at the consumer end, that is a different story and it may be that GE and MapPoint eventually close the gap toward being a low end GIS tool, but even then you have to wonder about the quality of analysis that these tools may give the user given the lack of experience with GIS.
